The Week was founded 13 years ago by British journalist Jolyon Connell. Its first editorial office was a London garage, and Connell mortgaged his house to fund the early years of the magazine. Dennis Publishing acquired The Week when it had just 2,000 subscriptions. Today the UK edition sells more than 150,000 copies and the circulation of the US edition tops 500,000.
